Title: Fuel filter hose clip
Post by: BrendanP on February 21, 2021, 13:06:28
Whilst replacing the fuel filter yesterday, part of the orange clip on the inlet fuel hose broke off. This is where you would normally press down to release the hose from the fuel filter pipe. I was able to push down what was left of the clip with a pair of fine nose pliers, so I could pull the hose off. When I finished, I pushed the pipe back on and it clicked into place and there were no leaks afterwards. I think the plastic must have become weakened with heat and time and just gave up the ghost.

I'm wondering whether the pipe is secure with this clip partially broken, and what would replacing it involve.
