Hi - I need help!
I have a 2011 i30 (Diesel engine) which I bought new from a Hyundai dealership. A couple of days ago the car lost all power when accelerating and so I took it in for repair and they said I need a new transmission for $2600. The car only has 120,000kms on it and is 10 months over its 5 year warranty. I have had all servicing completed as per the manufacturer's recommendation. Is this normal? i would expect a new car with all servicing completed to last a lot longer than 5years and 10 months.
Any advice?
Thank you

Did you take it to a hy dealer or indy to ask re issue?

Did you use hy dealer for services?

If so, has it always been then same dealer then may be they can contact hy hq to see if anything help can be afforded to you.

How is car now?

Is it driving as it should?

Again if so then may be it is something else.

As i'm no mechanic i'll leave for others to suggest what it may be...

Hi Emma
 :wttc:

120,000 km is certainly below average. As I assume it's an auto box, have the oil been changed according to intervals..?

$2600, is that supply and fit? I'd double check what they're quoting for, could be a valve body replacement on your existing box
