Just had fitted to the front  Goodyear Efficient Grip tyres. Great price all in and runs a lot smoother. Will have another 2 on the rear before end of year. 23,400 miles now recorded. :happydance:

I changed the wheels on my Niro from the originals, which had ugly - but supposedly aerodynamic  - wheel covers and Michelin Energy Saver tyres to new conventional alloy wheels shod with Goodyear Efficient Grip. The car feels better "planted" on the road, has much better wet road grip, only slightly worse economy (0.6 mpg) and possibly slightly reduced cabin noise.

Whether this is because of the tyres or the wheels I will never know - or care.

  • the older I get, the faster I was
take notice that there are 2 models of the GoodYear:  efficient grip and efficient grip performance. the later is much better and cost more.
I had the performance  on my Citroen C4 for almost 70,000 km. changed it because it was dry with the Pirelli P7 Cinturato .

Thanks for that. I have always re-shod with Goodyear tyres. Before the efficient grip was on the market I used NCT5"s they were very good. Latest off the net all fitted £60 each.

Good quality tyres do seem a bit cheaper in the UK than in Australia for some reason.  :undecided:
