I have a I30 2009 (petrol) with 45000 miles on the clock. Recently, the engine cuts out out unexpectedly and will only restart after several minutes. Scarey when I am in traffic. Sometimes it won't start easily. Replaced fuel filter after reading Hyndai forum.  Dealer has had car in 5 times to diagnose but can't find anything. Feels to me an electric or fuel supply problem.  Any suggestions most greatfully received.

Have they check fuel pump?

I ask because same happened to me when on an upward incline when i had my accent and like you, after checking all it turned out to be the pump!

Sounds like an electrical problem, so like Lester said possibly fuel pump but could have an earth somewhere. can be frustrating to find what is causing it. if under warranty take back, if out of warranty. possible causes, ! bad fuel pump, bad fuse box ( can be hard to track that one ) check all fuses secure.  but probably need to have Auto electrician take a look.
