I was in IT (started straight out of university in 1973 - punched card era :cry: ). My last project was implementing and supporting the software used to scan and read the handwriting from the 2006 Australian Census forms (also did the 2001 Oz census and 2006 NZ Census). I studied geology at university, but the year I finished corresponded with the end of the 60's mining boom in Oz and all of a sudden there were not many jobs available in geology so I ended up in IT.

Forgot to mention if any one living here in WA wants to try train driving, the PTA will be calling again for drivers in Jan 08 no experance needed we teach anybody from any field or profession.Want a career change this could be it and age is no barrier .Cheers

Hi Dazzing Darryl, look I never really like talking someones income but lets just its between 68 & 74 for a 40 hour week thats working a reseanable amount of overtime say with one extra shift every 3/4 weeks more is there if you want to live at the job if you know what i mean.any more questions only happy to help out,Cheers
