![]() It's my first post, but luckily for forum (but not for me) it's far away from "usual" problem, I guess. I just literally can't find anything close to that. I've got problem with weird, whining noise from power steering (videos included in the end of the post). It started around 1000 km before, just few incidents with this sound, when turning left on crossroads. Then it slowly started to appear very often (only in turning left), now it's whining almost 30% of my usual 20km way to work, even when I'm going straight. Few important facts: - it NEVER whines on full stop, car must be rolling, it does not matter, slowly or fast. On full stop I can do full lock wheel rotations with any tempo, no sound at all...... ![]() When I turn on the rear de-mister button on the dashboard it causes my radio to cut out for a short while as if it's lost signal. Happens about 70% of the time Everything else carries on and works as normal. Anybody else have similar issues or know how to fix it ? ![]() I have a 53 plate 1.6 diesel i30, I read another sticky post about clutch issues but honestly as a non mechanically minded person it didn't make a lot of sense. I mean once I know what something is I'll be ok, I am in the IT game and know my way round wiring and and like better. My Gearbox went at 60k so I had it and the clutch replaced (pattern part). Whilst doing the 90k service it came off the ramp and the clutch died again, something about a spring clip breaking. They replaced the clutch again but the bite point is rock bottom, I have to stomp on the pedal and I can feel things biting / difficult to change gear occasionally. This can't be good for the car and I plan on riding this thing until electric is affordable so... February 02, 2022, 07:34:48 by Misha | Views: 1515 | Comments: 2

![]() And also randomly cutting out No maps as base version. Is this a known issue? Only issue I can find is for the map versions causing issues. January 16, 2022, 16:18:07 by Paul_king | Views: 3985 | Comments: 6
![]() It didn’t have any so I paid £50 to have it re gassed. Worked perfectly went from 24c to 9c so a difference of 13c which is pretty good. On Friday I went for a drive and noticed the air con wasn’t working so I took it back to Halfords the pressure was bang on at 26 psi They toppped it back up and I was getting a reading of 5c which was the same as the outside temp. However checked it last night and I was only seeing a drop of 5c checked it again today and nothing the compressor isn’t even turning on so I guess I have a leak. Fingers crossed it’s nothing serious. January 16, 2022, 16:11:28 by Paul_king | Views: 3766 | Comments: 4
![]() I have found the leak but I cannot seem to find the parts needed to fix it. The rocker cover is leaking from the main gasket and a couple of the injector oil seals on the rocker cover not the injectors themselves just to be clear. I have been told that you can only buy these parts as part of a head gasket kit. Surly this is not rite. When I bought the car the oil level was over the max mark. 8 months later and about 1000 miles it is now reading normally. I plan on changing the oil and filter this week. Changing the gasket/seals is easy enough the only down side is that the injectors ha... January 16, 2022, 03:47:54 by Paul_king | Views: 1416 | Comments: 1
![]() For the last few months i have had to bleed the coolant system far too many times for one reason or the other. In the first month of owning the car I had to change the coolant cap as it fell apart. The thermostat as it was sticking. There was a small amount of gunk in the system so I used washing detergent to clean and flush it with the hose pipe to ensure that there was no blockage etc… I must add that there was no oil or any signs of a blown he... |
