Title: Vfacts (Aussie car sales results) for January 2020
Post by: Dazzler on February 06, 2020, 20:57:48
Probably no surprise with all the things that have happened in Australia in the last month or two that January 2020 was a bit of a shocker for the car industry.

Hyundai and the i30 are pretty much where they would normally be.

Interesting results.  Toyota seems to be in the boxed seat with their hybrid goal to sell 20,000 hybrids this year with Camry, Corolla sedan added (ultimate Uber car), RAV4 and upcoming Yaris, so will be interesting to see how the other brands react to this.

Not sure what anyone else thinks of the Kona, but had an Uber ride in one recently and was not impressed.  Ride quality was 'meh' and don't think I could enjoy it every day.

Ride quality in my son's Kona was excellent.

Maybe the venue has affected Kona's results.

They only sold 298 Venues (Kona was under 832?)

@pidim

Wife's Active Kona with 16" wheels is firm but better than my previous 2017 SR (which had 18" wheels) certainly more than acceptable for an SUV. Her 1.6T goes like a shower of $hit and handles well too. She loves it.  :victory:

All good dazzler. It could have been Sydney's amazing inner west roads.

Yeah. My point was that the Kona may have lost sales to the Venue, thus reducing what they could have sold.

Fair call and the Kia Seltos may have stolen a few sales as well...
