This was hinted at a few weeks ago and pooh poohed by all and sundry.

It'll be a be interesting to see whether or not they've correctly estimated the market response in Australia.

Sad news, but the writing has been on the wall for a while.
I've been considering finally putting a Holden in my shed (again) as a collector car and I think I know exactly which model I will be looking for.

Sales of the latest versions of the Commodore have been poor.
I don't think that they are a value for money proposition or of any great build / finish either . Have had a squizz at a couple at various times, inc the awd and never got that : " ooh, I'd like one of those " feelings.
Various models for the collector to grab.

Funny enough I saw a white V8 P76 , factory alloys, rear venetian and sunvisor, with twin system  burbling through town yesterday and thought " nice ".
May have just been the V8 that got me-old habits

I was out yesterday checking some Torries and a lovely FC ute for a mate with the same idea :)

I know of an absolutely stunning '58 FC ute for sale - restored to factory original, for $27k. You couldn't restore one for anywhere near that.

Good price, grab it Dave :goodjob2:

An EK ute would be ok as well, I’d love an FJ
Title: GM scraps historic Holden car brand in Australia

General Motors has said it will retire the iconic Australian car brand Holden as it leaves more markets.

The American car giant said it will wind down Holden sales, design and engineering operations in Australia and New Zealand by next year.

It also said China's Great Wall Motors had agreed to buy its manufacturing plant in Thailand.

It was recovered.  :blubber: :blubber:
Been thrashed and cooked it so it left on a side street with interior cut up, paint scratched and gouged.

I have owned two Holdens but feel no foolish allegiance, especially when you hear these two rousing patriotic jingles.
