Hi All, With 170k on the clock, I've got a P0017.  A Hyundai dealership here in Perth has said the timing chain needs to be replaced.  This includes replacing the CVVT and water pump.  They've quoted $4000 to fix it. 

So ok I've gone and tried to get a second quote.  6 mechanics later, I've not been able to make any progress!  They either don't do it or don't call back.  I talked to an engine builder and he's not interested (too risky).  His advice was to sell it.

So can anyone recommend someone in Perth, WA who can do it?

I thought the 1.8ltr engine had a timing belt and not the chain
