I had a problem with my 2009 SLX CRDi cw on the weekend. After a stop of an hour, about 3 minutes into a trip, I realised that I had no power from the accelerator. The engine was still running and I could steer, so I pulled into a side street just before coming to a standstill.
There were three red lights showing on the dash. One was EPS and I think the others were brake and oil.
I turned the engine off for a moment and then it turned over OK and I haven't had a problem since.
I hadn't noticed anything strange before or after.

Does this sound like a worry?

Sounds a bit worrying to me.  I'd want to know what the error codes are.  Take it into a dealer and tell them your story.  This ain't right.
