Hey guys, having 2 issues at present with GDe.
Aircon on driver's side is stuck on cold. Passeneger side blows warm air. Wasnt a problem until this arctic blast came up the east coast. Any ideas? Or leave it for the mechanic on the next service...
Other problem.
The button on the door handle to unlock the car doesn't work. A common prob with a fix? Or am i going to have to leave this to the mechanic as well...
Ive been thinking about selling, but with a car shortage i should probably hold on for a few more months.
Just wanna get the car right before i do.

I'm tempted to think it's all electrical for both cases.
Can you get to the wiring and check your connections?
Does any of it work any better in a warm garage?

Nah, weather doesn't seem to matter.
Looks like this isn't a common prob and no idea how I'd get into the wiring.
Id imagine that the whole door handle would be replaced but the aircon... no idea. Freezing in Sydney too right now.

An update.
My mechanic tried to fix the electrics in the door handle and couldnt get it to work. Couldnt source it 2nd hand either so we replaced the whole unit new for just under $400 and was an easy swap.
The aircon stuck on cold was an easy fix with a replacement actuator.
Now that the car is completely sound, it's time to reluctantly sell.
The drive home was so pleasant and I'll miss Donkey, but it's a seller's market so it's time for her to go.
The closest comparisons i could find were all around $20,000. Wow indeed.
I dont think ive ever seen a for sale post on this forum, and wondering if it's worth sharing here.
