[Pnut]

So i was checking the oil again yesterday and it reminded me to ask a question. The engine dipstick on our FD is a different colour from about 30-50mm above the full mark, it looks to me like it has a grey coating coating of some kind (I should have taken a photo while iwas there  ). The colour isn't a burnt oil brown stain I have seen on some old dipsticks, more of a light grey but makes it quite difficult to see the actual oil level. Is it a coating put there for a reason?
