Here's a little irony. I fitted the FD-01 into my Hatch. Brilliant, stream music, hands free phone etc.

Jump in to drive the car today, chuck the sunnies on, WTF, can't see the screen. Polarised sunnies!
And yet my boy has the same sunnies and says he can see it!

Does that mean I suffer some bipolar disorder or something

Same here - well I don't have a boy with the same sunnies - but yeah FD-01 and polarised sunnies can hardly see the screen.  A little annoying as it isn't an issue with the stock headunit for the 2010 model (PA710 IIRC).

Was he sitting in the same location as you or in the passenger seat?

Passenger, also on hot days the screen starts to go. looks like they're a special model for Australia only.
