I bought my i30 2012 plate second hand about a year ago (curse me for not getting an extended warranty!) About three weeks ago my radio completely cut out, the light doesn’t come on and it seems as if no power is going to it.
I took it to the local Hyundai dealership, figuring they’d be the best people to deal with it, and they said the fuses were fine, the power running to the system was fine so it must be an ‘internal fault’ with the system itself. They quoted me £1200 to get a new system and install it and with my first child on the way and moving into a new house (with a delightfully hefty mortgage) next month I’m not made of money. They suggested I bought a second hand one one off of eBay which I did from a reputable seller with extremely positive feedback.
Having fitted the new one yesterday, same issue. No light, no sound, nothing. I have an hour commute to a really exhausting job and a silent commute would really make that experience an unenjoyable one.
Can anyone PLEASE help me? I’ve checked fuses myself based on some other threads and the garage said they checked as well. If you can help me solve this I’ll name my child after you, mostly joking but a little bit not.
