One of my mates bought a Stealth B-52 electric bike a few years ago and absolutely loves it, around suburbia it's quite a bit quicker than my car, I'd love one myself but don't see myself paying the 8k tag to get from the US http://www.stealthelectricbikes.com/stealth-b-52-bomber/

I'm still riding an old-school non-suspension steel frame mountain bike with old-school knobbly tyres and old-school dynamo powering old-school incandescent globes but I'm not old-school 

Gotta work hard to reap the benefits!

You can still keep fit on those Stealth bikes Gonz, the more you pedal the more regenerative power that is sent back to the battery and you can go even further

i went for a 26k ride with the group yesterday, i joined the easier slow pace group, there was a really fit fast pace too but as we all did same distance same tracks & beaches . i was stuffed as have not been out on pushy much since riding motor bike home plus cleaning house and bike. but i loved that ride! some hard rough hill's both down and up, but beautiful country we saw a lot of Black Swans on a lake road along a nice beach, just had waves come up and went through salt water, hope no damage. i washed bike off after. just shows how riding each day up hill's helps your fitness, as last time i was doing big hills easy, this time they were harder. legs and arms sore after but ok today. my mate took his Specialized hard tail turbo it has a good rockshox front end you have to peddle but it gives you assistance he made hills look easy, it looks and handle like a normal hard tail 29" fat tyre mountain bike not like the normal run of electric add on's that you don't need to peddle, you have to peddle & shift gear like normal just it gives you a bit of help. but $5k too much for me!!

Well, I have - it is 68 kg now.

I need to loose 5kg myself to get to ideal weight.
Am 71.8kg need to be 67kg
Just need to weigh all i eat work out KJ 6,500 per day & weight goes down to 67KJ, but i'll be 69 yo end of this month, nothingi can do about age

I know this is a big event on aussiekeith's calendar but I'm not sure if he rode this year, given his leg problem.
My son entered last year and decided to try for the 160klm distance this time.
I know he survived but not sure how far he went. Whatever he did, he's earned a decent donation for MS from us.

Yeah I know! I was only joshing. I used to ride a pushy to work when I was in the bank. I can remember a memorable ride home one Friday night after drinks!
