Hi everyone! I am a new member here. I have a brand new i30 GD4 active. I've driven it for a couple of long drives and I noticed this burnt rubber smell coming from the hood/bonnet. Is this normal for a brand new i30? Thanks for the responses.

For the first few days you might get a few odd smells as things like the exhaust/Cats/mufflers burn in, I'd double check around the engine bay and tyres just to be sure nothing is caught or rubbing though.

Some under body protection spray may have got on the exhaust or something but as Craig said have a good look around and under the hood and car for signs of smoke when hot.
