My daughter placed a CD in her CD player and it played without a problem. She turned of the ignition and when she turned it back on the  unit would not play, and displays no CD detected, it also will not eject the CD.
Anyone know what the problem may be,and how we can get the CD out?
Thanks

No sure, but had a feeling there might be a tiny hole near the CD slot where you can poke something like an unfolded paper clip for just this purpose. If not, I'd suggest trying - disconnect negative terminal of battery for a minimum of 30 minutes and see if that resets the stereo enough to make it acknowledge and eject the CD.

Good luck. I'm guessing it's an FD.

Try inserting another CD - see what the takeup mechanism does.

I checked and it is a FD, I have disconnected the negative terminal and waiting 30 minutes to see if that works

Damn, sounds like you need to trade it in on a new one...  :snigger:

But seriously,  hopefully some other suggestions will be forthcoming.   :undecided:

Try daughter's most sturdy tweezers and try to coax the CD out..

Then try a new one

It could be a fault in the CD ( doof music) or some missing info that is causing the problem.
Possible real music will play  ok.

If not. a New head unit is easy to install and cheap at a wrecker.
