New to Hyundai!

Hi all,

I signed up over a week ago, have been lurking previously reading peoples posts .. I'm new to Hyundai having been a Mazda fanboy [and still own Mazda products] for about 15 years.

I'm expecting my new baby to settle sometime over the next week, in which that is a 2019 Hyundai i30 N-Line Premium in the newly released colour of Fluidic Metal. Pictures around the internet are very hard to come by in this colour as there's very few in the country at the moment I've been told, however I did find some from another dealer whilst I was waiting for my local dealership to physically receive theirs [which is now mine!]..

It's been some time since I've been an active member of any sort of automotive forum, being a former moderator of the astinagt.com forums back in the day.. I'm an avid follower of WRC, in particular the Hyundai Team, but I've been a huge fan of the sport since my late teens. The i20 WRC car looks fantastic.

I'm looking forward to getting to know you all and learning more about the i30.

Thank you .. I'm excited to get it home and look at it some more .. My first exercise with it will be to thoroughly wash it and apply some P&S Bead Maker to it for deeper colour, gloss, slickness and hydrophobic goodness..

Doesn't look like it has front parking sensors... is that right? Can't see them on a blown-up view.

Haha thanks .. Well these pictures are just for colour purposes only and I think these images might depict manual N-Line. I've just looked at the picture I took of my car at the dealership and it definitely has the front sensors.

Steve, Model shown isn't a premium though info provided on Hyundai Australia's website says the Premium N-Line has front parking sensors.

Adam and congrats on your awesome new i30.

I'm not normally a fan of grey cars, but the new i30 looks really good in that colour and the previous slightly darker sparkling metal. Really shows off the lines of the new PD.

The front of the N-line is definitely an improvement on the SR.

Hah, I wish i could .. It's my first day back at work [shift worker] and have been stuck behind the desk all day..

One thing I am a little disappointed with is the lack of bass from the upgraded stereo subwoofer. At least on my initial drive from the dealership whilst connected to Apple Carplay with Spotify. I adjusted the bass to 10, but it just disappears once you're driving. I haven't tested the bluetooth connection or radio yet.

Play with the settings a bit. Should be an option to turn off speed dependant volume setting.

I hate that colour

The light silver of the i40 is growing on me, but Hyper Silver or whatever they are calling it this week is where my heart is.

The wife reckons she is getting a bit bored of it though.

Did you get the Hyundai floor mats? If so, what do they look like? N logo? N-Line logo? i30 logo?

Hi @Dantrasy ,

I specifically asked for the N logo mats in my sale. There aren’t any N-Line mats as such. I would suggest that if you just said “throw in a set of mats” then they’d give you the i30 branded ones.

You can see examples of each on the accessories page on the Hyundai website.
