Hi,
I am new to this forum and looking for expert advice on an issue i am facing with my 2011 I30 Auto 2ltr with 120k odo. From last week i am facing an issue as the gear shift doesn't looks to be smooth for 1, 2 and 3rd gear. Facing a major delay in gear shift from 1st to second and when trying its making more rev. Also while applying brakes its giving a jerk. Planning to take it to mechanic this weekend but thought of checking in the forum whether anyone has faced this issue and what can be the possible fix(Afraid whether i will have to change the gearbox itself).
Any help on this is much appreciated. Thanks.

Any idea on estimated cost to fix it?

Any idea on estimated cost to fix it?
Welcome Shaan. Really sorry to hear of your problem. Unfortunately a brand new transmission via your Hyundai dealer will probably be quoted at around $4000. Obviously that is unrealistic for a 7 year old vehicle so most try and find a good second hand one with some warranty which may be closer to $1000 installed. There are plenty of threads on here. Browse the problems sections or search "valve body"
Good luck with it.

well I can only guide you what i know, A new VB could be ordered from Korea and around $900
Then you need someone to replace it, plus a new internal filter, transmission flush and new fluid, reseal of the pan.
