Title: Fitting i40 radio into i30 (FD)
Post by: aullah on August 22, 2019, 12:48:36
Hi all,

I've seen Hyundai i40 radios on eBay for reasonable prices (~£50 to £80) and I was wondering would it be possible to retrofit the i40 radio into the i30 (FD)? I know physical dimensions won't fit naturally, but would the i30 be able to power the stereo?

As the prices are reasonable, I do like the OEM look of them; and some of them also have bluetooth which also makes it appealing. :-)

Thank you and kind regards.

 Good question.  :whistler:

Use angle grinder, drill, hammer and cold chisel.

Two Answers - probably and eventually

Fairly sure the 12v battery is the same in both cars.  :phone1: :phone1: :phone1:   :goodjob2:

Daughters 2012 FD has Bluetooth,  easier to get one of those?
