Hi Guys

Had a GD Premium for about 12 months now and it's a great car - very impressed going from a 300 000 KM Getz that got destroyed in its life time and still runs (sold to a friends family member), to what is by comparison luxury. I have been servicing every 15 000 km and am now going to change the brakes next service. That said, got a couple of general queries:

1) Wondering if anyone knows where the best point is to jack the front a GD up, that will lift the whole front? I tried heaps of different points today but didn't feel comfortable and when I jack from the rails down the side of the car, it lifts both the front and rear of the car on that side, which bothered me a bit.
2) Does anyone have a PDF workshop manual / know where I can purchase one? I thought I struck gold when I found this post - PDF Version i30 user manual - but the workshop manual has been removed from Dropbox.

I lift the GD a lot, unlike the FD I  dont do a centre lift.

I lift one side and block / jack stand for safety.
Do same on other side and rear wheels will go back on the deck.

Look at Ebay CD manual on disc is about $10-12 . Most are LHD  for US Elantra- same thing

I haven't  gone underneath my car to see if it has a central spot to safely jack up both front wheels,  So, if I want to work on both fronts I do as nzenigma has posted...until l find a better way.

With other cars, I have often used the side rail jacking point to lift both front and rear wheels on one side, no problems.  Provided the car is on reasonably level ground and you follow the owners manual there is no need to be concerned with this method.
