I have read a few threads that seem to relate to my engine issue, such as : https://www.i30ownersclub.com/forum/index.php?topic=15227

Got the car in January and its now got 7000kms on it. Initial problems started around 2000km mark when the car would stall after a hard acceleration, in addition the engine sounded like a bag of spanners most of the time. It went in to the dealership and the mechanic remarked that it did sound rather loud and he reflashed the ECU saying that the "timing was off". This worked and the car quietened right down and was a pleasure to drive again. However, now I find that the problem has come back with the car being sluggish and noisy. Based on what I have read on these forums I think I should be asking for the dealership to look at the injectors? (they have been alright up until now, but this sounds like  big job).
cheers

:welcome: i30inmelbs ..I guess "not good" is an understatement  :undecided:

At that mileage should still be sortable under warranty (hopefully)

You have been unlucky, the i30 diesel is generally a solid little trouble free motor.
