Had the 2nd service on my car in July (two year service) and they renewed the spark plugs I have clocked around 20,000 kms. They charged me 5 euros each

At 20,000k's that's just a waste, in my opinion.......double that mileage and I reckon you'd be closer to the mark....  :undecided:

Depends of the sparks. Depending on the dealer, Hyundai's replacement sparks are for 15.000 kms. Pretty sufficient for 7.500 kms per year :p

EDIT: I had Kia's sparks installed (dealer's... next door), same as the Hy's originals (NGK-R LZKR6B-10E) for the same money (5 euros)

My manual says spark plugs replaced at 45,000klm and 90,000klm. Or longer if platinum or iridium coated.
I sure don't expect to change them until 45,000 and then I'll probably fit the better quality ones.

spark plugs and leads will last at least 100,000-120,000kms now days because the plugs are varidium. the plugs in Australia are $20 each. the plug leads are $120 a set. i asked my dealers service dept when i bought the hatch and cw.  :winker:

Yep... this is all good education for me.  I am still stuck in the times of changing the oil and plugs every three months emmotionally.
