I have seen people recommending silicone wipers. I was wondering if anyone can suggest where I can get them in Australia.

Is your car in the sun much? I'd be lucky to get more than 12 months with my old school units on the FD

What are they like? Do they squeak?I've generally found Trico pretty good but I use the premium rubber with the twin stainless rails or Ultra complete heads. I remember I'd get plastic blades and they'd be coated in graphite powder and then they'd often squeak. I'm going back a bit now

Which is why I gravitated to silicon ones many years ago.Don t know about brand. But what's really scary is this just popped up in my fb feed.http://www.facebook.com/249593075091033/posts/2056367584413564/?app=fbl
Fitted Bosch one piece wipers (hook type) that i bought off Alliexpress to the FD. $12.40 for both front wipers ATM. Says they fit the GD as well, but would have to check the length of each wiper to confirm.Came in the Bosch packaging and had Bosch in the wiper casting with part number (so assumed their genuine). They made a heck of a difference compared to the squeaky steel framed ones the car had on it. 2pieces/set BOSCH Wiper Blades for Hyundai i30 24"&18" FD GD Fit Hook Arms 2007 2017-in Body Kits from Automobiles & Motorcycles on Aliexpress.com | AlibabaTook 3 weeks to get to Perth, but i was in no hurry. I recommend them, and for the price for both front wipers, you could buy 3 sets for the price of a single wiper blade from Supercheap.

Yes you’ve bought fakes should be no surprise at that price Beijing Easysup is well known for copying most big brands, they always have the fake Philips LED lighting up on eBay when their ads aren’t being taken down.

Guess time will tell how well they last.
Paolo39, two problems with those...they squeak and they're not Australian The Tridon blades last well because they're made here for our climate, heat and UV destroy many of the imports and cheaper wipers within a year.Bosch are another good brand though I haven't personally used them, except for spark plugs and points back in the day
Thanks, I think I will give the triton a go
