Hello everyone,

The doubt is simple. I noticed that there is cold air coming from the grilles on the right side, while the ones on the left side are hot and very hot.

It emits hot air through all the grates except the right side:

Moon grid right part: Cold
Right front grille: Tempered
Grid right (next to window): Cold
Right front grille feet: Cold
Rear right side grille: Cold
 
I go with a heat that I die and my companion frozen ... Any ideas?

I have disassembled the car, I have checked that the Temperature Actuator works correctly, ie it is moving correctly. (REF: 971592L000)

It is really difficult to reassemble the motor because there is hardly any gap.

I have checked all kinds of connections and everything works correctly. The only thing that does not fit is a cable through the area behind the radio ... which is not plugged in.

I have checked fuses, relays, etc ... and I can not find anything wrong.

I have taken the car to an official Hyundai dealership and they thought the same thing as me but on hearing what I have done, they have checked it and they do not know what it can be. They have to dismantle the whole dashboard ... until they see where the fault is ... and the arrangement can be very very expensive.

Can anyone tell me what it can be? Maybe the engine is failing even though it really opens and closes?

As I understand it, in this case the problem is that it does not cool ... not that it does not heat. The problem is in the cold, I have it in the hot.

Yes, this is possible, it is possible that the car has a servomotor there. I have to dismantle that area.

One more thing, the air conditioner has a self-diagnosis ... that follows the following diagram. I can not get it to work. Could someone help me?

I'll tag our "master" technician @cruiserfied , but don't get "mad" I'm sure if anyone that has seen this could have helped so far they would have. :undecided:

Similar issues here mine blows out cold air only and always water runs dry I have no antifreeze and using tap water as just bought the car, Seat heating OK but there is very little warm air u can feel in ventilation, I guess I need to check for leaks as I filled tap water fuel at night drove only 5 miles morning no water and I could see water on floor

Welcome sesel. Sounds like your i30 is past its prime! What with this issue and the steering bush. How old and what mileage? i30s are generally pretty reliable.

Frigorífico has posted his solution on the Spanish forum:

I went to the Hyundai dealer's workshop and they told me radiator was blocked. The hoses in and out were at 65 and 55 degrees, indicating the blockage since they should be the same.

Hyundai quote:
- 200€ radiador / heater core (50-60€ on Amazon, ebay)
- 200€ labour
- 50€ antifreeze
---------------------------------
450€

I went to a local and for the investigation, flushing of the original core and some helpful repairs of joints and connections, total cost was 20€ (for the half hour).

So from Frigorífico's experience, flush your core. :goodjob:

Dealer is a prat, Why do we have a radiator? Answer; to reduce the temperature of the coolant.  :crazy1:
