I think it will be great. No real downsides. We get a 1.6 Turbo "SR" in Australia which is a good compromise for me between performance and economy. I think the warmest standard i30 you get over there is a 1.4 T.
There are lots of i30 N tests shared on here (from YouTube) and they all rave. People like Steve Sutcliffe from Evo Mag can't be ignored. Sounds like it will be a great everyday driver with loads of performance on tap if you want it.
I also like the fact the styling isn't over the top. It should age well. I like the powder blue colour a lot (but not he name - Morning Glory!)
Can't wait to see what it looks like in other colours.
