Hi guys I'm trying to find alloy inserts for my hyundai i30 I've looked everywhere I can think off I'm not sure how to go about it but I bought the car and noticed the alloy has plastic inserts which need replacing

Any help will be appreciated thank

Yeah those "plastic chrome" inserts were a right royal pain on my FD Premium 2008 model. Had them replaced after a year (warranty) due to severe pitting.

Not sure youi'll be able to buy metal equivalents, though.

If I remember the wheels are made by FondMetal - think they were called FondMetal Tech 5's.

You can go to a local wheel shop who should stock many aftermarket versions or you can also purchase via ebay hyundai alloy wheel centre caps | eBay

I'll check a wheel shop thanks and the link is for the center caps but I'm looking for the plastic inserts

I cannot find my i30 FD warranty info (I do keep everything so I will check again).

I do recall they're known as chrome cladding so you may be able to search that way.

To be honest, when I sold my FD after 6 years the replaced cladding was also pitted. Next time I'd remove them and paint them black. You'd have to remove each wheel and unbolt them from within - 2 screws iirc.

Just about all those one's shown on ebay are plastic...the ad's say alloy "wheel" centre caps - not the other way round
