Hi, my daughters I30 is suffering from water in the nearside headlight unit. It's not condensation but water getting into the unit when it rains or, like today, after the car has been washed. I cannot see any damage to the clear cover and can only assume a part of the seal between the cover and body has let go. On my car it is quite possible to remove the headlight, and using a hair dryer, gently warm the seal and then separate the cover from the body. Has anyone attempted to do this on the I30?

Depends how old the car is - on the original model people used to take the headlights apart to paint one of the silver bit black! (circal 2009)
