Title: Cruise control buttons unresponsive and incorrect mapping
Post by: i30 fan on May 23, 2023, 06:26:23
Hi everyone
I have a 2013 GD manual and have an issue with almost all the buttons on the right side steering wheel switch bank.
The cruise button almost always never works, when it does the cancel button will set the cruise control, RES+ will do nothing, and SET- will increase the speed! So the switches are mapped to the wrong functions.
I've replaced the right hand switch assembly with no change.
The TRIP and RESET buttons are also unresponsive.
I read one identical post on the forum which didn't indicate the final fix.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Possible clock spring issue?
Thanks

Process of elimination would put the clock spring as next in line :goodjob:

Thanks CraigB. I replaced the clock spring and all is resolved and back to normal. Thanks for your help!  :goodjob2:
Strangely enough my son also has a 2013 i30 and we've just had the clock spring replaced in that for the airbag light on as well.
Cheers
