Hi i30 team,

I'm looking at purchasing a 2010 SLX (manual, 2.0 petrol) through a private seller. Any and all advice appreciated, but I'm particularly interested in any key issues to look out for with this model, or any key issues that could come up in the near future (she has 185k kms on the clock, with the timing belt replaced at 180k). Seems like a decent value buy at 5k AUD.

Steering coupler. At slow speed, check to see if  turning the wheel left and right, gives an audible clunck, you will feel it also $10 dollar part but $400+ mechanic time. (Can possibly done at home if one is moderatley to highly technicaly inclined and skilled)
