Title: Central locking issue
Post by: Garside26779 on February 17, 2021, 14:04:04
I have a 63 plate 1.6 diesel i30. I have read similar issues on the forum but they are old threads. Hence this new one.

The internal button is flashing when the car is unlocked and the boot and passenger door remain locked. I've tried the battery remedy and it solved it fur a day but the gremlins returned. I feel it's an electronic issue rather than a manual one. I've tried both fobs and batteries have been replaced.

The boot opens with the boot fob button.

Is there anyone that's had this issue and had it solved?

For non-UK members note "63plate" = September 2013 to March 2014 new registrations.

If not mistaken, I thought there was a similar central locking issue reported on here fairly recently.

Edit: Found it, but suspect may not be too helpful:  :link: Low (FOB) Key Battery message (https://www.i30ownersclub.com/forum/index.php?topic=58530.msg502815#msg502815)

Is the car battery well charged and voltage checked to be good?

It's way beyond the key fob in this instance
