After about 3 months researching which car to buy and about a month looking for the right Volkswagen Golf MK7.5 that had all the options and fit within my budget, I reached my frustration point and decided to go check out the i30. It took me all of 5 seconds to fall in love, about 10 minutes to try out the infotainment system, and about a minute on the phone to my wife to convince her this is the right car for us. I put down the deposit and took delivery 3 days later. As I hadn't test driven the car, you can imagine my excitement when I finally put pedal to the metal! I can't believe I even bothered with Volkswagen, I saved about 5k AUD which will probably go into various mods like window tint, painting the brake callipers red (why not?), gloss black mirror caps, and premium plates. I am hoping to learn from other i30 owners on this forum and eventually be of some value so I can contribute.

Premium/Platimum plates are what's on mine and will suit any colour car, and they're only $120
