the problem is fuel consumption very bad- avg 10km per liter.
and there is a knock from engine in low rpm - like mettal- and in accelaration at 60-70 kmh there is a air leak .
after remove the intake manifold - all the cylindres are clean execpt number 4- look at the picturs.
can someone know what can be problem ??
in the dealship say the car is ok - and there is no mulfaction in the car.

If it is 2017 , it is low kms; ????? so inlet  images do tell me something is not correct. Why just one cylinder is most obvious. ?
I lack more information regarding noise, is it mechanical or detonation?
> if the latter it would point to poor fuel air mix or ignition timing.
If you can hear an air leak, you need to find it, then we an talk more.  :undecided:

Hello
The car is taxi, and have 96000 km
The noise like detonation, like injector knock.
In the garage make a check, and found everything ok
The problem start after 2-3 hours driving in traffic.
The air sound start when i leave the gas pedal in speed 60-70, like "pshhh" in the petrol engine with turbo, like the car have dump valve.

Ok mate, bear in mind, from here I can only give you hints bases on what you say and from the pictures.

1. if you are over fuelling you will hear injector rattle.
This may be due to pressure regulator on the HP fuel pump or sensor on the fuel rail.
Or just one bad injector given your information. Obviously #4 would be suspect.

2. The black deposit on 4 is typical of EGR deposit. Its not clear why it is only on 4, perhaps because it is closer to the incoming EGR, but the other three ports are too clean. :head_butt: Perhaps because that cylinder is working hardest due to over fuelling

3. The blow off type sound may be quite a good lead. Check the intercooler and pipe work going to the turbo, could be split hose or metal crack . There is a lot of pressure there and will make a loud noise if a clamp comes loose.

Thanks for the answer.
Over fuelling what you mean? When i fuel the car? If yes, so yes i fuel it to the end after the automatic stop.
When i connect the obd woth torque app, when the egr is 0% there is no knock, when it open to 16.5%, so in accelerate in lower rpm, there metallic knock.
The blow off sound , just after 60-70 kmh when leaving the accelerate pedal... If i press pedal to the metal i almost cant here blowing.

The engine or a cylinder is receiving too much fuel /pressure. Typically injectors will have higher rattle.

EGR : return gas becomes fuel. A clue?
Also check that the turbo oil seals are functioning. Oil will be sucked in and used as fuel.

@nzenigma

As little as I know about diesels, first impressions are the height on the dipstick, wetness in the inlet at No 4 , knocks/rattles and double the fuel consumption.

I'd be heading straight to the injector #4 and assume it must be not shutting off and dumping fuel,

Is that the oil level? Is it dliuted and feel like diesel?

What happens now with the WTY or are Taxis on a very short wty?

Sorry Ill translate Aussie for you. I type fairly slowly, by the time I post I see you just got in and highlighted high dipstick level, diluted and smelling like diesel.

Basically answering my questions as if you knew i was about to post them in anticipation.

Hi Yoshi,
Firstly, we have sympathy for your misfortune.

Unfortunately, your picture of the dipstick did not tell us that you have diesel mixed with your oil.

The dealer should not have said to you that nothing is wrong. The diesel in the oil is wrong. The dealer must know there is a fault.

The fault is this:

The diesel can only have come from your injectors.

There is virtually no other way that it can travel from your fuel tank to your oil sump.

Hopefully, your problem is only a damaged injector. It will probably be #4.

I think the injector is pouring too much fuel into #4 cylinder and then it drains past the piston rings into the sump.

Hopefully the piston is not damaged.

well
here in israel the dealership dont like to work hard - when the car in warranty.

is the light of dpf should make the problem??
some times it turn on and flashing, and make obd error code p2003 - the dpf need cleaning- so after 20 minutes driving it turns off - maybe this will enter diesel to the oil ??
