Hi,
During the recent heavy rain in Sydney the AEB warning message appeared indicating it had been disabled.
After about 15 minutes, the warning disappeared.
Seems that the rain may have affected the AEB sensors.
Has anyone else experienced this issue?
So far it's only occurred once, but I'll bring it up when I take the car in for it's next service in about 6 months.
If it continues to occur, will take it in earlier.

Hi Pappy,
Haven't had that error in my 1st 12 months, but haven't driven in really heavy rain either.

When I picked up my PD2, the sales guy did mention that there is an occasional issue where the sensor (forward facing in front of rear view mirror mount) can become occluded by dirt. He said it's rare, but I should give that area wipe to see if it's covered in dirt. Not sure if this is the same sensor used for AEB, or if it's specifically for the lane departure, etc.

Possibly related - my Ioniq reported that twice, the last time we had snow. The message alternated between "AEB disabled" and "Smart Cruise disabled: operating conditions not met".
So ogrex has probably hit the nail on the head. In my case the forward radar mount was covered in snow.

Thanks for the replies.
I'll assume this warning was caused by the heavy rain then.
