I have a steering wheel coupling issue with the 2012/2013 Hyundai i30 elite. The mechanic would charge me from $495 to $700 for this. Rang Hyundai and they said it's not covered under their warranty as my car is over 10 years old.
Could U recommend a mechanic that can fix this issue and also based in sydney that won't cost me arms and legs?
Thanks

I recently had mine replaced. It's tiniest of parts but the cost is all labour, unfortunately. It cost me just under $500. Cest la vie, I suppose

There are YouTube tutorials for DIY if you're up to it.

Do some searching around, I'm sure I've read one of our eastern states members had it done for $250 fitted, the same price I was quoted through JAX Tyres here in Perth.

Talk to Jax.
Or maybe better, look for a steering specialist which has a connection to Fulcrum Suspension.
Somewhere on this site is a link to the actual Hyundai workshop document which details the operation step by step.

Hi, Jax isn't that cheap anymore. I rang about 6 months ago and it was more like 450 to 500. Roughly the same price as other shops and a trip down to Kwinana.

Thanks for all the replies. Appreciate it.

I have managed get it replace for $250 + $50 ( drive for 30 minutes to fix it at my house).
Thanks for all the help.
