My wife has a Hyundai i10 - a super little car which I enjoy driving almost as much as my i30.

However - I have just read that changing bulbs and fuses is not easy - so I hope SHE never has to do it....

It's a garage job as they have to remove the front bumper to get at the fitting.

Believe it is at least 1.5 - 2 hour jobs = mega £££££ for £2.00 bulb....

That's the time when you pop along to your local Halfords and take them up on their "any headlamp bulb replaced while you wait - £5 inclusive" offer  :winker:

I may be out of line Alan but seeing you are senior citizens and the i10 is your 2nd car I would suspect the i10's lights would not get a lot of use? I know Trish doesn't drive the CW much in the dark. :goodjob:

and Steve's suggestion sounds mighty tempting too... :whistler:

You are quite correct - the i10 has done only 1800 miles in its first year and is rarely used during the hours of darkness. However - that is no excuse for Hyundai's design errors. Bulb and fuse changing should not be so difficult.

Agreed Alan .. although my point (I guess) was that you are unlikely to need a bulb change while you own the car  :winker:

That wouldn't be a bad thing....

Most of my old Barina's globes lasted as long as I had the car.....I upgraded the headlights early in it's life and only ever had to replace one down the track and the only other globe replaced was a taillight, and that was because some clown ran up the bum of my car.

It had 420,000k's on the clock when I disposed of it.  :D
