As with the current version I think I like the styling of the wagon better than the Hatch. However, I'm assuming there will be a price penalty for the extra sheet metal and a slight penalty at the pump as well Alan?

carbon emmissions are 109 compared with 100 for the hatch - hence it will sip a bit more fuel. In the Uk the diesel hatch will be free of annual road tax - the wagon will cost £20 per year and will probably slip into a higher insurance band

I was told informally to expect a price difference of about £1000 compared with the hatch. I have to agree with you about the styling - the wagon does look better - the hatch is merely superb. The wagon is superb+
