Evening all
Been an i30 owner for 3 years but only just found you lot so have done the deed.
I have a  2015, 1.6 Turbo - 3 door which i really do like  - a few more mpg would be nice & to be honest, the wider front doors are a bit annoying when I've found a tight parking space, but otherwise I've got used to no DAB & the other

Anyway I went a wandering & so am having a test drive of a 1.4 n-line tomorrow. The warranty is probably the only reason I'm having a look around ( 3rd gear syncro failed at 44k miles (!!?) but to be fair rebuilt with no issues & so at least I know its worth having.)

Anyway any views on the n-line?

Cheers

Welcome,

Glad you finally found us. You will be impressed with the N-Line.

We don't get the 1.4 over here (only the 1.6) which goes a bit harder, but the 1.4 is probably better on fuel.

So I drove the N line + on Sunday & compared to my 1.6t it wasn't a wash out by any stretch.
Good seats, plenty of toys, it liked corners & a decent exhaust tone
The only thing i didn't really like were the dipping mirrors when engaging reverse. The dealer said it couldn't be disengaged -but you guys have advised it can ( don't see any point in educating the dealer).

Onto the negotiations...
In my view the the local one is overpriced & the dealer was being tight on the p/x on mine
Another one elsewhere 6months younger & marginally less miles you was £1,500 less & so my view is that my  dealer needs to drop down by the same amount...
That was Sunday & he's not been back to me since - so I suspect its a 'no', but he could at least have the decency to call & let me know.

That being said, the new plate is out next month, there will be over ex demos coming along & so I'll keep checking.
Thanks for your help - & I'll stay in touch
