I need to replace the front offside (RHD) wing on my son's 2010 i30. I can see a couple of bolts from inside the engine bay and screw heads to remove the inner wheel arch protector. Has anyone attempted this job before? Any advice? I'm just going to jack it up on one side and use an axle stand I reckon. What does everyone think? I do have a second-hand replacement wing.

Whoopsy,

here I am thinking wing = spoiler

I would remove the headlamp assembly, that'll give you some visibility of the front corner to bumper. There's a small self tapper anchoring the corner of the bumper to the guard, then it just unclips.

Inner liner, you figured that

Bolts on inner edge in engine bay , you figured that.

last pieces of the puzzle should be a 10mm bolt tucked in the corner where the bonnet hinge is and another one or two inside the door hinge area, and another couple under the car where it's anchored to the sill.

there may be some seam sealer under the edge in the engine bay, I don't remember now

Could be a couple more around the headlamp, see if this helps

Thanks TW, those pics will be really helpful. I have the replacement wing so I will use that to map where the bolts should be to dismantle the wing. If we call it a wing, what do you call it in Oz!?!

Always thought Front Guard.

You know how it is, Hood, Bonnet, always some other interpretation around the globe.
