Hi all.
I've had it confirmed by a local mobile mechanic that the dpf pressure sensor has failed and although he had a spare with him, neither of his 2 computers listed Hyundai software.
I'm under the impression that when the sensor is replaced, it needs validating in the ECU, obviously requiring the GDS. This is what the local mechanic told me too and why he didn't replace the sensor as he didn't have the software do it.
So then I called a Hyundai dealership and they were adamant that there was no updating/validating required and it was just a straight part swap. Still £300+ mind.
Now can someone please confirm that ECU validation is required or not? I'm confused. As if it's not required then I can do what seems a simple part swap myself.
Many thanks
Dave
