I am sorry, I don't speak Ausy could you please put it in world wide words?
actually, I was asking if this is the crank shaft sensor. yes, the engine bay is pretty dirty. we have a lot of dust here, and the rain get all the road grime to the engine bay.on my Citroen, that I bought new, I used to clean the engine bay every time I washed the car. for about 4 years now I don't (wash the car )the I30, I bought a couple of months ago and I did not wash it yet.

I'm reading it's attached to the gearbox. This image is not great out of the manual but I'm thinking it's running off the flywheel or in this case the flex plate."This sensor is installed on transaxle housing "

Not on the transmission, sensor reads off a tone wheel slightly forward of rear main bearing.
You should be able to spot a thick cable like this with all that spirax and it's clipped most likely to a bracket at the front

QuoteWow! Not being rude, but that looks to be a very ducking fusty engine bay! well I hope thus is better ( going off topic here ) this was my primary car until the wife finely got a job.now this is the wifes car.after almost 10 years with Citroen C4 (2 generations), when trying to lift the hood, I keep thinking to myself " who screwed the hood to the body????" 10 years with aluminum hood will make you go like that when trying to lift a normal hood....
TW, rest assure that the coolant is in good condition.its not red, its something else, spacial Citroen coolant.
... I go out before 6 AM and comes back after 10PM ...
hopefully I got it right, 1.6 petrol 391802B000should be easy to replace once you locate where it is which maybe on the top or in the of the flywheel housing. I have diesel so I know mine is at the rear on top but petrol not 100% sure.Someone else can confirm but it'll be a single 10mm bolt holding it on then undo the harness.
