On route to debugging an issues i have, can someone confirm that turning the ignition on should light the EPS ( power steering ) to RED and then it does off in 3 secs

Manual says out in 3 secs, but not yellow or red

Mine stays on red permanently - until I crank the engine then it goes off

I have a 2014 1.6crdi Style Nav Blue Drive - I'll record it later when the sun moves off my dashboard (I just took a video but you can't see through the glare).

I did actually manage to find a start up dash sequence on YouTube by looking at those sales vids that garages push to show you their for sale cars - so just searched for my model

Those too had power steering red AND stays on unless cranked. So the user manual is actually wrong, but that means my car is actually all right in this area
