2013 i30 1.6l gd wagon
well after  2 years of great trouble free motoring the missus comes in and tells me theres a light on the dash she hasnt seen before,
yep the cel.
well i plugged the elm327 dongle in and fired up the tablet ,
wow 9 codes
p0076
p0031
p0079
p0037
p0030
p0036
p0078
p0075
in that order, checked alternator , its putting out 14.2 volts pulled off engine cover valve control solenoid is still plugged in, engine was a bit hot to go diving behind  the cat for the o2 sensors , deleted codes  and restarted engine , no cel but codes pending , 76,31,79,37and 30 .
will check battery voltage in the morning, as im thinking it looks like battery dying (its the origional) as the codes are not linked to each other  (metaphorically speaking)if no luck with the battery, it looks like im spending saturday digging out connectors from behind  the block and trying to trace wires without a service and repair manual.

well stuck the multi meter on the battery , 11.9 volts ,rechecked for codes , all still there.
went and grabbed a battery from R**CO, got one a little bit bigger (din 53 lmf) cos the one in the car is a not very common  one.
started car and yay no cel, plugged the obd dongle in zero active codes ,and 4  pending codes 2 o2 and 1 each inlet and exhaust valve solenoid turned motor off then re started it and the pending codes had gone. so all up a good day and  it only cost me a battery , and no swearing trying to get o2 sensors out .
