OK - I am fully aware that I may be a bit thick here, but if the light on my dash say 'EPS Off', does that mean that it is is actually off or do I need to push the button to switch it off (and thus remove the light indication) ? Thanks !

I think you might mean ESP - Electronic Stability Program - which helps you avoid loss of control in turns etc. It's part of the traction control system.
If you mean ESC - Electronic Stability Control - then leave it on unless you fancy hooning.

Apologies - yes I did mean ESP so the question refers to that. If the light is off the ESP is on then ? Thanks

If ESP OFF is showing, then it's switched off.
Nothing showing ∴ means it's on.
