Hello everyone

New one here in this community and needed some help.

My cousin has an i30 1st gen ( i think its the fd model) and he crashed it. Anyways we had to remove the dash and completly the interior and in the rebuilding proces we cant find the location of  interior temp or humidity sensor. I did a small research in this forum but i was unable to find something similar. The same applies to google research which i couldnt find anything.

As a bmw fanboy and mechanic there are tons of info's,diagrams, service manual's,parts catalogue with partnumber's and etc around the net and almost completely nothing for Hyundai's  :scared:

Anyone has any idea about the location of this sensor? According to the wiring its somewhere the center console or heater core.

I've always believed it's the little black plastic bump near the centre of the windshield

I think that's the auto light sensor.

Previous discussions suggest it seems to be dual-purpose, as Dazz had such a dome but no auto lights.

I'm not convinced. Lots of makes and models have this and several manuals state it's the temp sensor for the aircon.

the lights sensor should be located on the windscreen just below the mirror where the wipers reach.

I think that's the auto light sensor.
I have that which flashes when car is locked so presume to show alarm active.
I do not have auto lights

It might vary brand to brand, but that bump on the dash was definitely an auto light sensor in my Calais. Had to modify the dash mat, as once that went on the light used to come on prematurely.  When I made the hole a bit bigger around that "bump" the lights behaved correctly again.
