Bit peeved that not already standard/available.

Wonder if it is available to buy, as I bought my i30 in October 2017.

I think it would only be factory order Vanessa (not able to be added later)

Don't stress too much. it would have been another $1500 and your car would still be much safer than your previous i30.

I've had 32+ cars  and 31 of them didn't have AEB.. I've driven well over 1 million kilometres in 40 odd years and I'm still here.  :whistler:

Blind spot mirrors would be nice, but I would pay the extra not to have adaptive cruise, or a least turn it off, not a fan

I absolutely love it, but apparently there is a way to turn it off. I think you hold or scroll through the distance setting button?

Yeah on my Ioniq, you select CRUISE (but don't set it) then hold the distance button for 3 seconds; that converts it to normal cruise control.

Can't say I liked the adaptive cruise on the Kia I had, It didn't help the fuel economy one bit.

As for AEB, I would rather the car behind me has it  :whistler: From what I read it isn't much chop over 40 anyway.....

One of the things I really like about the adaptive cruise is that it will hold set speeds within 3 kph down ANY hill!  :goodjob: :goodjob2:

I don't like lane keep assist though. Very disconcerting (feels like the car is tramlining). Have lane departure warning turned off too. That constant chirping as I zigzag up my lane is very annoying!  :crazy1:
