Ended up going to my mechanic to do the service. He charged me under $200 and supplied all parts and oil.

There were 2 extra costs though.
I needed new front brake pads and advised i was probably best to have the discs machined. The pads have never worn completely through and im pretty light on the brakes but there was definitely grooving on the discs. Built to a price i guess.
Also had the front tyres replaced.

It's actually been almost 14 months since last service and the difference is actually borderline awesome.

Is yours a Euro built model?

Even my heavy footed Wife managed 75k on hers in her FD. The Korean pads seem to last a lot longer than the Euro spec ones (and throw a heap less dust, I had the fronts on my i40 changed at 15k because I despised the sticky thick dust they left on the wheels).

Agreed +1 the Euro pads are very dusty, I'm on 54k now and they still have half life left in them :)

New pads - quick skim, always.
Tyres - 45k km, no surprise there.
$200 for service - bargain  👍

Yep EU built wagon.
Shoulda asked what pads he replaced with. Probably a generic brand.
And i agree, never seen so much brake dust. That might be a good indicator if there's less dust now.
Maybe i can look up a different brand next time.

Been with the same mechanic for more than 20 years.

I have 40% left in the front, 80% at the rear. I always tend to use my gears when slowing down, only applying little amount of brakes. My Car sitting on 62k
