Already on sale in other markets around the world, the debut of the U.S. version of the Hyundai Kona at the 2017 L.A. Auto Show had no surprises. The Korean automaker confirmed it will come standard with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder Atkinson engine with 147 horsepower and 132 pound-ft of torque, while the Limited and Ultimate trims are equipped with a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine providing 175 hp and 195 lb-ft of torque. The standard 2.0-literengine is paired to a six-speed automatic transmission, while the turbocharged unit gets a seven-speed EcoShift dual-clutch transmission.
