My 5 year RAC cover expires in May.

Has any other uk owner  been contacted by either the breakdown organisation or hy uk towards the end of the warranty cover period to be offered special deal to continue with them?

Been checking out aa, rac, green flag etc to see prices.

My car insurance is due in march and may be tempted just to add the breakdown cover if, as last year, they offered at half price.

Update

Today i rang hyundai customer services to ask whether at the end of 5 years they offer a reduced fee breakdown cover.

I was told that they now operate the breadown service with the AA not the RAC.

They have a promotion with the AA if you have your car serviced by a hy dealer/authorised service centre you will receive 12 months complementary AA cover.

As my car will be out of warranty i'll have to see how much for a hy service to an indy service taking into account the cost for AA roadside, at home and recovery.

Any uk member aware of this promotion and any thoughts on it?

I would want to know what level of cover they offer. I have only called out the breakdown service twice in my motoring life and both time it was because of a flat battery at home.

Basic cover with AA and RAC does not include home call or getting driver and passengers back home.

My cousin suffered an engine seizure in his Accord and called out the breakdown service. They took the car to a Honda dealer on a flatbed but refused take the passengers because they had a Great Dane dog.
