What's in a date? Well the 5th November is a date of change or attempted change.

- 1605, England, Guy Fawkes plots to put gun powder under the House of Lords in an attempt to kill King James 1st and put a Catholic monarch back on the throne of England. We celebrate Guy Fawkes in New Zealand with fire works and bon fires.

- 2020, America, Could this be the day that the USA presidential elections are determined? Will they too celebrate (commiserate) with fireworks and bon fires? Maybe just plan old looting as that's the norm when change occurs over there?

- 2020, England, Covid 19 forces a total lockdown of the nation. Nobody is celebrating.
